Borrowing the idea from hire-zake (grilled blowfish fin sake), here we are enhancing the flavor of sake with the wonderful aroma of grilled uni.  It’s simple and highly enjoyable!

  1. To heat up the sake, first boiled a small pot of water.  Then remove the pot from the heat source; fill a carafe with sake up to the neck and put the carafe in the hot water for about 4 minutes.


2.  Lightly grill some uni (2-3 pieces of uni per cup of sake) until you see small small bubbles forming on the uni.  A toaster oven works well for this.


3.  Put 2-3 pieces of uni into a sake cup and fill it with the hot sake.
