Borrowing the idea from hire-zake (grilled blowfish fin sake), here we are enhancing the flavor of sake with the wonderful aroma of grilled uni. It’s simple and highly enjoyable!
- To heat up the sake, first boiled a small pot of water. Then remove the pot from the heat source; fill a carafe with sake up to the neck and put the carafe in the hot water for about 4 minutes.
2. Lightly grill some uni (2-3 pieces of uni per cup of sake) until you see small small bubbles forming on the uni. A toaster oven works well for this.
3. Put 2-3 pieces of uni into a sake cup and fill it with the hot sake.
