Hokkaido Wild Salmon Roe (Ikura)

These ikura are from salmon caught off the coast of the Shiretoko Peninsula from Sept to Oct.  The roe is mixed with JAS approved organic soy sauce for mild flavoring.  This allows the wonderfully intense natural flavor of the fresh salmon roe to come through without being masked by salt like lesser quality ikura.
